Capistrano district plans theaters at 3 high schools

Board hires architect to create performing arts venues

TheCapistrano (Calif.) Unified district is moving ahead with plans to build theater buildings at three high school campuses. The board has voted to hire an architect to design a $13 million, 475-seat theater for Dana Hills High School in Dana Point and a $12 million theater for Capistrano Valley High School in Mission Viejo. It also voted to prioritize plans for a $14 million theater at San Clemente High School as part of a master reworking of the campus's Triton Center area.
