Group says Dallas needs more school choice

Community advisers offer nearly 100 reform recommendations.

A group advocating education reform says the Dallas Independent School District should offer parents more choice in the schools their children attend, expand its preschool programs and weed out its poor teachers. The group of community leaders and experts guiding the district's reform and improvement efforts has nearly 100 recommendations, touching on everything from curriculum to how to better engage parents in district activities.
