6 Rhode Island schools targeted for overhaul
From The Providence Journal: Rhode Island Education Commissioner Deborah A. Gist is calling for the overhaul of six of the state's persistently lowest-achieving schools. The schools, which serve more than 3,000 of the state’s poorest and most ethnically diverse students, have had dismal test scores for years. They are among the bottom 5 percent of schools statewide, officials say.
