Cincinnati seeks best grade configuration for middle schoolers

District is converting some campuses to grade 7-12 setup
Dec. 29, 2011

From The Cincinnati Enquirer: The Cincinnati school system is one of several districts across the country in rethinking where to put their middle school students as pressure mounts to improve academic success. This year Cincinnati has converted Hughes STEM High School to a 7-12 school and plans to convert Aiken High School in 2013-14. When those schools are in place, the district will have eight of its 17 high schools as grades 7-12, four 9-12, four K-12 or pre-K-12, and one 11-12.
