New charter school in Delaware would focus on sustainability
From The Wilmington News Journal: Delaware Academy of Science and Engineeringplans to build one of the first all-green, sustainable schools in the country, using the facility as a learning laboratory. Students would choose one of four career pathways: marine science and technology, computer science and engineering, environmental policy or alternative energy technology. The school would open with 220 students in grades 9 and 10 and grow to include grades 11 and 12 and 421 students over three years.
