Eastern Michigan University uses one-room schoolhouse for education classes

From The Detroit Free Press: A major renovation project has shut down Eastern Michigan University's largest classroom, and officials had to look far and wide for places to hold classes. They found some unusual spots: residence hall lounges, a former bowling alley and conference rooms in the physical plant. Then there's the one-room schoolhouse, an 850-square-foot building that was a K-12 school before closing in the 1950s. It's a fitting use, given the university's history as a teacher college and the fact that it produces more teachers than any other institution in Michigan.
