July 21, 2011

From The Alexandria Echo Press: The Alexandria (Minn.) School Board has placed a bond referendum for a new high school on the Sept. 27 ballot. If approved, the new facility would open in the fall of 2014. The total cost of the school is estimated at $70.5 million, but the requested bond amount will be just $65.15 million; a capital campaign raised $3.35 million, and an agreement was struck to sell the existing high school for $2 million.
