Maynard Superintendent Mark Masterson allegedly withheld information in 2004 about an alleged case of child abuse.

Maynard (Mass.) School Superintendent Mark Masterson has been placed on paid administrative leave amid allegations that he withheld information in 2004 that a child had been molested. Masterson has headed the 1,300-student district since 2002. Masterson failed to tell School Committee members promptly and accurately about a 2004 telephone conversation in which a former high school student said he knew about a teacher who had abused a student in the 1970s.
