Baseball facility at Gardner Webb University gets upgrade

School hopes to open revamped stadium for 2010 season

Gardner Webb University in Boiling Springs, N.C., is upgrading its baseball facility. The university plans to break ground soon and hopes to open the improved stadium for the 2010 season. The upgrades include a press box, VIP box, lights, concession stand, team room, indoor and outdoor batting cages, coach's offices, umpire locker rooms, new dugouts and stadium chairback seating. Renamed John Henry Moss Stadium in honor of a donor that is helping pay for the project, the facility will seat about 525 with the chance for expansion in the future. The architect is Holland, Hamrick & Patterson.
