Donations will pay for facility upgrades at Jewish school in Michigan

Mishkan Israel in Oak Park, Mich., will get renovations and new student housing.

A high school and rabbinic college in Oak Park, Mich., will get major renovations and new residence halls. Alan and Lori Zekelman of Bloomfield Hills are giving $2 million toward Mishkan Israel. The 12,000-square-foot building, which also serves as a synagogue, is nearly 40 years old.
