Students fees will pay for facilities at Kent State University

From The Cleveland Plain Dealer: Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, is likely to become the first public university in the state to charge students a fee to pay for a new academic building and additions, renovations and repairs to others facilities on its main campus. The university plans to issue $210 million in bonds that will be paid by imposing a $7-per-credit-hour fee in 2013, then more than tripling it to $24 per credit hour by 2017 through yearly incremental increases. By 2017, the fee would cost a full-time, in-state student $720 a year.
