After tornado, some Kentucky schools move to temporary space

West Liberty Elementary in Morgan County now is housed in old factory
March 19, 2012

From The Lexington Herald-Leader: In Kentucky, public schools have reopened in storm-ravaged Morgan and Magoffin counties. Students from West Liberty Elementary School in Morgan County returned to class in a temporary school that was put together in an old factory building after a tornado earlier this month destroyed the school building. Students probably will use the temporary building for the next year until a permanent new West Liberty Elementary School is built. In the Magoffin County, the district lost two buildings, Salyersville Grade School and the Herald Whitaker Middle School. Middle school students are attending class at Magoffin County High School, and kids from Salyersville have been dispersed to other elementary schools.
