Libby district wants to close elementary, move students to middle and high school campuses

From The Western News: The Libby (Mont.) district is asking voters to approve a $12 million bond proposal that would provide funds to renovate the district’s middle and high schools. The money would enable the district to close Asa Wood Elementary School and move elementary students to the middle and high school campuses. Officials say the middle and high school campuses have room to accommodate elementary students, but the space is not age-appropriate and not configured correctly. Residents will vote by mail, and all ballots must be received by Feb. 8.
