Charter operator will take over campus in the fall

From The Minneapolis Star Tribune: The Minneapolis school board has decided to close Cityview School and allow a charter school to see if it can succeed in educating the city’s most needy, vulnerable students. The Minneapolis district spent more than $19 million to open Cityview in 1999, but students struggled, and perennial efforts to boost academic performance came up short.The district plans to open a charter school, the Minnesota School of Science, at the site next fall for students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
