Legislation in Texas would give charter schools access to construction funds

Proposal would let some charters tap into state’s Permanent School Fund

From The Texas Tribune: Without access to financing for buying or building new facilities, charters are subject to the whims of the rental market, which can make budgetary planning difficult. Some lawmakers in Texas now are pushing to change that with legislation that would allow some charter schools to be eligible to gain access to money from the Permanent School Fund.
