Court decision allows town to choose architect for $73 million project
After delays to accommodate a new state law and a court challenge by a rejected bidder, the town of Trumbull, Conn., is ready to move forward with a $73 million renovation of Trumbull High School. The high school building committee committee was on the verge of choosing an architect last summer to design the renovation of the 36-year-old building when a new state law required the town to seek formal bids. But the project was delayed when the runner-up in the architect selection process, Fletcher-Thompson sued to challenge the town's selection of other architectural firms for the job. A judge ruled last month that the town was within its rights not to select Fletcher-Thompson. The architects hired are JCJ Architects and Wiles Architects. To read The Connecticut Post article, click here.
