Jackson (Miss.) district is building elementary-middle school complex

Buildings will hold 550 elementary and 650 middle school students

The Jackson (Miss.) school district has broken ground for the new Gladys Noel Bates Elementary and Thomas Cardozo Middle School complex. The two-school complex will have a total square footage of 165,068 square feet built on 47 acres. Bates Elementary School will have 50,403 square feet and an enrollment capacity of 550 students. Cardozo Middle School will have 114,665 square feet and an enrollment capacity of 650 students. The architect is JBHM Architects.
