Army ROTC will return to Harvard

University has become more welcoming after ban on gays and lesbians serving in military was dropped
March 22, 2012

From The Harvard Crimson: In the latest step to reverse the more-than-40-year exclusion of the military from the Cambridge, Mass., campus, Harvard University has signed an agreement with the U.S. Army to formally recognize the Army Senior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps. The Naval ROTC returned to campus last year. Harvard became more welcoming to the military last year after the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” the policy banning gays and lesbians from openly serving in the military. Discussions between the University and the Air Force are still ongoing.
