Northwest ISD builds 2nd high school

Byron Nelson High eventually will house 2,200 students

Byron Nelson High School is under construction in Trophy Club, Texas. The $86.5 million, 500,000-square-foot building is scheduled to open in 2009 for ninth- and 10th-graders. By 2011, it will accommodate up to 2,200 students in grades 9 to 12. The school will have four gymnasiums and a performing and fine arts area that includes a 850-seat auditorium. Byron Nelson will be the second high school in the Northwest Independent School District. The architect is Corgan Associates.
