From The South Florida Sun-Sentinel: With pink slips going out this week to 1,400 teachers in the Broward County (Fla.)district, several teachers say they're upset that the district hasn't done more to save their jobs and to keep a budget shortfall from affecting students and schools.Superintendent Jim Notter puts the blame for the "painful" cuts on the state. He says legislators cut school funding and did not replace stimulus money.
