Feb. 13, 2009
St. Helena Parish (La.) School officials say high school students in could be in a new 10-classroom temporary building by the end of next week. The temporary building is being assembled on the campus at St. Helena Parish Central High School in Greensburg. The district bought the building with the help of $230,000 in state and private grants after the high school's main classroom building burned Nov. 3. Students and teachers have been using makeshift classroom space in the high school gym, auditorium and elsewhere since the fire. The new building has been set up where an old greenhouse once stood at the rear of the campus. To read The Baton Rouge Advocate article, click here.
