Before building, schools must weigh environmental risks

Districts struggle with contamination risks at potential school sites

From The St. Paul Pioneer-Press: When is it appropriate to construct a school building on or near a contaminated site, and how do you handle the real or perceived threats? Some say it's not worth the risk. Changing health and safety standards could mean that today's safe conditions will be deemed hazardous in 10 or 20 years.
