Proposal would let schools listen in on bus conversations

Pennsylvania legislators consider changes in eavesdropping law

School administrators and police in Pennsylvania could listen in on conversations in school buses under a proposal exempting buses from state wiretapping and surveillance laws. Some school districts have started rotating video cameras between buses, but state law prohibits recording conversations without consent. Legislators are considering a bill that would add an exemption for school buses.
