Longview (Texas) district seeks $266 million in bonds

District wants to consolidate elementary school campuses, rebuild middle schools

The Longview (Texas) Independent School District has placed a $266 million bond proposal on the May 10 ballot. The district's plan calls for consolidating 11 elementary schools into seven K-5 schools and rebuilding three middle schools. Money also is include to update Longview High School, including a new fine arts center.
