Wayne State begins work on engineering center

Detroit school hopes new facility will spur economic development

Wayne State University in Detroit is breaking ground today on a $27.3 million engineering facility that will rev up research and ignite economic development, leaders say. The Marvin I. Danto Engineering Development Center, a three-story structure, will adjoin the existing College of Engineering and facilitate growth in critical research and spur student engagement in innovative projects.
