Santa Ana (Calif.) district will close two schools

Orange County's largest district is slashing $15 million from its budget.

The Santa Ana (Calif.) school district will close two schools in June as part of a plan to cut $15.6 million in spending for the next school year. Closing Grant Elementary and Taft Intermediate schools will save the district $723,000 annually. The bulk of the cuts will come from accounting measures and administrative belt-tightening,
