Parents in Illinois district plan to post online recordings of school board meetings
From The Chicago Tribune: Fed up with what they feel is a lack of transparency, parents in Park Ridge-Niles (Ill.) District 64 have begun taping school board meetings to post online. The district does not record or or broadcast its meetings, and there is no requirement that it do so. But some residents in the district say they believe it's necessary so more people can keep tabs on how money is being spent. Proponents of recording the meetings argue that the public can't always make the meetings, and it's important for them to be aware of what's going on.
