Few students with severe disabilities are enrolled in Florida charter schools

Charter operators say such students are better off in private or district-run schools

From The Miami Herald: An analysis of enrollment data shows that only a handful of students with profound disabilities make it into charter schools in Florida. Charter school operators say the students often are better off in private or district-run schools that have special education expertise.
