From The San Jose Mercury-News: The California Assembly has approved legislation that would cap the number of charter schools in the state and ban nepotism in the hiring practices of the schools. The bill calls for limiting the number of charter schools in the state to 1,450 by 2017. The proposal now goes to the state Senate.
