Ohio district will keep Native American mascot name

Talawanda board says "Braves" is not offensive to American Indians

From The Cincinnati Enquirer: The Talawanda (Ohio) school district is keeping the Braves name and warrior head as its mascot, board members announced. The Native American symbol was chosen to represent the Butler County school district in 1956. A community group asked the district to remove the name, saying it was offensive. The board has decided it is not offensive.
