Feds widen probe of Texas schools for people with disabilities
The U.S. Department of Justice will investigate conditions inside all schools for people with disabilities in Texas. The state institutions that have come under fire for reports of widespread abuse and neglect. In a letter this week to Gov. Rick Perry, the federal agency, which already has been investigating allegations of civil rights violations inside two of Texas' state schools, said it was expanding its review to all 13 facilities.
