Montessori school gets permit to build near airport in Wheeling, Ill.

FAA drops objections after school revises site plans.

The Wheeling, Ill., Village Board has voted to issue a building permit that would allow construction of a Montessori school near Chicago Executive Airport. The project had been delayed when the Federal Aviation Administration objected because the original site plans put a parking lot and a light pole too close to an airport runway. The school agreed to revise the site plans, and the FAA dropped its objections.
