Voters in theGlen Cove (N.Y.) district have defeated a bond referendum that would have provided the district with $13.9 million to make repairs at its six schools and two administrative buildings. The improvements, recommended by a board-appointed advisory panel, ranged from new roofs and floors to bathrooms and boilers, lockers and security cameras.
