New Hampshire college student kills himself after wounding roommate

Police say violence at off-campus apartment confined to dispute between roommates at Keene State College.

A student at Keene State College in Keene, N.H., shot and wounded his roommate early Friday morning in their off-campus apartment, then turned the gun on himself and killed himself. The roommate, wounded in one buttock, called police about 12:30 a.m. Officers responding to the apartment about a quarter-mile from the college found the shooter, who killed himself with a rifle as police entered the apartment. The shooting occurred on the last day of finals and two days before graduation.
