Private school administrator arrested on molestation charges

From The Sacramento Bee: Seven weeks after Citrus Heights, Calif., police made private school administrator Robert B. Adams the focus of a molestation investigation, the former principal was arrested on multiple felony molestation charges. Court documents state that Adams, who ran the Creative Frontiers school in Citrus Heights, has faced similar accusations for at least 11 years. The 60-year-old Adams, who has run the private K-6 school and preschool since 1975, now faces six felony counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 and one misdemeanor count of annoying or molesting a child under 18. All of the alleged victims are girls who were students at his school. The school has been closed since July. Adams says he has sold the school to a man engaged to marry one of his daughters, and supporters of Creative Frontiers have been working to get the school reopened.

AUGUST 2011...from The Sacramento Bee: A Citrus Heights, Calif., private school that closed amid molestation allegations against the principal has been sold, and owners have applied for a business license in hopes of keeping it open. Authorities closed Creative Frontiers on July 18 after Principal Robert Adams was accused of molesting multiple children over the past 15 years. Adams, who denies any wrongdoing, has not been charged or arrested but remains the focus of an ongoing police investigation. Documents show Creative Frontiers School Inc. and all of its "tangible corporate assets" were sold Aug. 16 to Zsolt Benedek. According to Creative Frontiers' website, Benedek is the fiancé of Adams' daughter Courtney, who taught at the school.

From The Sacramento Bee: Robert Adams, known to students and parents as "Mr. Bob," is facing allegations that he has molested children who attended the Citrus Heights, Calif., school he operates. Adams' attorney calls the allegations "absolutely untrue," and no charges have been filed as police continue to investigate. Despite the lack of charges, accusations by parents, former students and at least one employee prompted authorities to close the Creative Frontiers School, which includes a preschool program and elementary grades.

From The Sacramento Bee: California officials have shut down a private elementary school in Citrus Heights and suspended its license while investigators look into allegations that its principal molested children over the past 15 years. A complaint prepared by the California Department of Social Services accuses the principal, Robert Adams, of inappropriate physical and sexual contact with children numerous times beginning in 1997 at the Creative Frontiers Preschool. Adams operates the school with his wife, Saundra. During the regular school year, Creative Frontiers enrolled more than 200 children in preschool through sixth grade.
