School bus companies will divest some contracts to clear way for merger

National Express and Petermann Partners contracts in Texas and Washington state will be affected
News release: National Express Corporation and Petermann Partners Inc. will divest several school bus contracts and associated assets in the states of Washington and Texas so that the companies' proposed merger may proceed, the U.S. Justice Department says. The companies will sell eight school bus transportation contracts to Student Transportation of America Inc. The divested transportation contracts: Washington--Battle Ground and Hockinson districts; and Texas--Bastrop, Boyd, Eagle Mountain-Saginaw, Leander, Manor and Terrell districts as well as Dallas-based KIPP Truth Academy.
