Mississippi woman donates island to community college

FromThe Biloxi Sun-Herald: A 97-year-old woman says she will donate an island on the gulf coast of Mississippi to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Annie Ola Johnston of Gautier, Miss., will give the seven-acre island to the school so it can become part of the Estuarine Education Center on the Jackson County Campus. Officials say the island will become a part of the center and will be used for education and recreation.
