Moore (Okla.) district seeks funds for new elementary schools

$69.9 million proposal goes to voters in March

The Moore (Okla.) school district has scheduled a $69.9 bond election for March 4. The money would enable the district to build two new elementary schools, a performing arts center at Moore High School and a gymnasium at Westmoore High School. The new schools would open in 2010 or 2011. The district has added more than 2,000 students in last four years, pushing its student population to 20,815.
