From The New York Times: Some elite private schools in New York City are beginning to change longstanding admissions practices as they try to balance priorities such as institutional loyalty and a diverse student body. As schools look to bolster endowments amid the poor economy, some have begun to question whether they should give a leg up to siblings of current students and children of alumni.
