Ottawa (Ill.) district seeks $18.5 million in bond proposal

School would be built to replace facility that flooded
Nov. 20, 2009
From The Ottawa Times: Voters in the Ottawa (Ill.) Elementary District will be asked in February to approve an $18.5 million bond proposal to construct a new Central School. The new facility would cost about $25 million based on current estimates and would replace the former building, which flooded in September 2008. Administrators do not know if the district will need all of bond funds for the new school. The district may get funds from a state insurance program as well as from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
