Construction snags at Berea, Ky., high school delay beginning of classes

Madison County district students will return Aug. 24
June 28, 2009

From The Richmond Register: The Madison County (Ky.) district has delayed the opening of the 2009-10 school year after rainy weather and storm damage delayed the renovation and expansion of Madison Southern High School in Berea, Ky. In addition to previous weather delays, a recent thunderstorm peeled back a section of the roof of the high school's gymnasium roof, and the rain soaked the wood floor. Classes will begin on Aug. 24 instead of Aug. 12. The architect for the high school renovation is Clotfelter-Samokar.
