School in Vernonia, Ore., will replace facilities ruined by flood

K-12 campus is expected to open in 2012

From The Portland Oregonian: The Vernonia (Ore.) district has broken ground on the construction of a new school to replace the ones ruined in a flood three years ago. Many students have been in portable classrooms since the flood. The new school, which is expected to cost about $37 million, is expected to open in 2012 and will house students in kindergarten through high school.
