Ypsilanti gets OK on school bond issue

$49 million will cover facility improvements, new technology.

Voters in the Ypsilanti (Mich.) have approved a $49.1 million bond issue that will pay for technology and facility upgrades. The money is earmarked for renovation, mechanical and electrical work in the district's high school, middle schools and elementary schools, as well as new technology to replace outdated computers and other equipment.
