Aspen music school plans campus overhaul

The Aspen (Colo.) Festival and Music School is awaiting approval from Pitkin County commissioners for its plan to redevelop its 23-acre campus. The $70 million project calls for tearing down all but three of the existing buildings on the campus and building three new music rehearsal halls, a 16,000-square-foot administration and cafeteria building, practice rooms, parking lots and a playing field. In all, the campus, which also houses Aspen Country Day School, will grow from 50,000 square feet to 106,000 square feet. The architect is Harry Teague.To read The Aspen Times article, click here.
