Somerset Elementary was closed by the Shawnee Mission district in 2004
From The Kansas City Star: The former Somerset Elementary School in Prairie Village, Kan.,will be razed and replaced by an $8 million senior living development. The one-story, 40,000-square-foot housing project will be similar in scale to the school it’s replacing and include 59 rooms for senior living and care. The Shawnee Mission School District closed Somerset in 2004; the campus has been used for several years as swing space while other elementary schools were being built.
