Stockton (Calif.) district seeks $464.5 million for building upgrades

More than 40 schools would get renovations and upgrades

The Stockton (Calif.) Unified School District is asking voters on Feb. 5 to approve a $464.5 million bond issue. The proposed bond would pay for renovations and upgrades to 42 of the districts 44 elementary schools, major modernization of Edison, Franklin and Stagg high schools, the completion of Cesar Chavez High School, and renovations to Walton Special Center.
