Iowa district rejects $16 million bond proposal

Fort Madison district wanted to replace two existing campuses with a new K-8 school.

The Fort Madison (Iowa) School District has failed to persuade voters to support a $16 million bond proposal. The money would have enabled the district to build a K-8 school and replace an existing elementary school and an existing middle school that are aging and inadequate.
