Bond vote set next week for Carlsbad (N.M.) schools

$7.1 million proposal would pay for upgrades of heating and cooling equipment and other improvements.

The Carlsbad (N.M.) district is asking voters on Aug. 21 to approve a $7.1 million bond proposal for facility upgrades. The money would pay for heating and cooling system upgrades at several facilities, additional student lockers and playground equipment, and improved restrooms in the auditorium of the middle school.
