Cuts cause class sizes to climb in California

Sacramento-area schools say classes of 30 or more are common

From The Sacramento Bee: The push for class-size reduction swept through California public schools in the 1990s, but the last two years of state budget cuts have sent the pendulum careening back in the other direction. Classes of 30-plus students are once again commonplace in Sacramento-area schools.
