Group had sued, but California Supreme Court says objections came too late
FromThe San Jose Mercury News: The California Supreme Court has ruled that Stanford University can start building new trails along the edges of campus. The Committee for Green Foothills sued more than three years ago; it argued that the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors' approval of Stanford's proposal was illegal because it did not include an environmental review of plans for a trail along Alpine Road. The ruling enables Stanford to resume work on a second trail that had stopped after the lawsuit was filed in June 2006.
